Hampstead UMM

Pinewood derby

February 24. Jim Godwin and Ed Dunn, as judges for the Boy Scouts Pinewood Derby, discuss rules with Clarence Lewis. Scout Coordinator.  UMM have a historical commitment to scouting and civic youth ministry.

Our mission is to support spiritual growth among men, helping men to mature as disciples as they encourage spiritual formation in others.

The Hampstead Unitited Methodist Men invite all vistitors to join them at 8AM in the Sanctuary on the first Saturday of every month for breakfast. Meetings might include guest speakers, and the planning and implementation of church initiatives.

All men 16 and older are encouraged to involve themselves with the UMM. While we all have busy lives, men must strive together to be the godly men that He has called us to be. One hour on Sunday just isn’t enough time for that to come forth. Give yourselves the opportunity to grow in a spiritual direction with other men that have that same commitment. There is nothing to be intimidated by—we are all striving to that end.

Together, we can become the leaders He designed us to be. Together, we can be the hands and feet of our Savior and experience all that He has in store for us. Together, we can learn to give of ourselves in new, more meaningful ways. Together, we ALL grow.

Al Smith, President Hampstead UMM

On February 19 we installed a metal ramp. These ramps are much easier to install and can be re-used. This photo was taken as the crew was called inside to lunch. Life is good.  God is good!!

The Shrove Tuesday pancake supper on the 13th of February was a huge success.  We garnered $650 which will be used for the Appalachia Service Project  (ASP).
