MYF  (Methodist Youth Fellowship)

MYF meetings take place throughout the school year every Thursday, beginning at 6:00pm to 6:45pm for middle school youth.  At 6:45pm we have dinner and fellowship time for both middle school and senior high youth.  From 7:30 to 8:30pm the senior high meetings take place.  Our meeting place is the Youth Activity Building located directly behind the church.

How we worship and serve

The Youth of HUMC have many opportunities to worship and to serve the community and beyond.  In September we prepare for the arrival of our pumpkins and in October, the Pumpkin Patch opens.  This is the largest fund raiser for MYF and enables the youth to attend many of our trips and conference events by earning pumpkin bucks. In November we get ready to embark on our annual Pilgrimage to Fayetteville to be part of a community of youth, 5,000 strong and worship our Lord for 3 days.  December brings a Night in Bethlehem where the youth once again serve the community by re-enacting the night of our Lord's birth.  Late winter or early spring the youth put together Youth Sunday where they prepare and implement all three worship services.  In July the senior high youth go on their annual mission trip to ASP.  All of the youth are encouraged to enjoy all of the United Methodist conference events that take place throughout the year.  Kaliedscope, Breakaway, ACS and the Chrysallis walks.  Join us and be a part of this incredible community of faith!
