4C's Food Pantry food Drive

  • 4C's Food Pantry is experiencing significant challenges obtaining food. They have been unable to buy food "in bulk" to replenish their shelves (as in the past), and they also have a greatly increased client load due to the Covid-19 crisis.
  • in response to the need, HUMC will be hosting a "Drive Thru/Drop Off" Food Drive Saturday, June 27, 11am-2pm under our picnic shelter in front of the church. Currently, items in greatest demand and lowest supply are:
  • 18oz Canisters of Oatmeal Stuffing Mixes (Any Kind in Boxes)
  • 2lb Bags of Plain Rice 32oz Jars of Applesauce (Plastic if Possible)
  • Canned Protein such as Spam; Treat; Beef Stew, Corned Beef Hash (They currently have a good supply of tuna and chicken.)
  • Please consider watching for these items on your shopping trips and drop them off at HUMC on June 27. (Typically Walmart, Dollar Tree and Aldi's have the best prices.)If you have questions regarding the food drop-off please contact Linda Nipper or Cheryl Rootes. or contact 4Cs using the following:
  • Due to Covid-19 restrictions, 4C's has also experienced a loss of volunteers to staff the pantry. If you are not "vulnerable" and are comfortable serving in the public, please use the following to contact 4Cs for more information and/or to volunteer.
